Sound Baths

What are sound baths?

A sound bath is a form of sound therapy where participants are "bathed" in sound waves, typically produced by various instruments such as gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, tuning forks, and even the human voice. The sound is to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance well-being. The power of a sound bath lies in the way it influences both the body and mind.

How can sound help?

  • Help reduce tension in muscles and calm the nervous system and promote circulation

  • Can lead to a state of deep relaxation, lowering cortisol levels and induce a parasympathetic state—the "rest and digest" mode of the nervous system

  • During a sound bath, the dominant frequencies can lead the brain into a meditative state, allowing for a greater sense of mental clarity, creativity, and emotional balance.

  • Vibrations can help release blocked energy, clear emotional stagnation, and even support cellular regeneration

  • Improve lymphatic flow, supporting detoxification

Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki comes from two Japanese words:

Rei - means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power"

Ki - means "life force energy", So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing for the recipient.

A treatment is administered by "laying of hands" and is based on the idea that the unseen "life force energy" flows through us.  If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is flowing normal, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

People often wonder what Reiki feels like.  Reiki feels like a wonderful glowing radiance flowing through and around you.  Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Reiki is a natural, simple and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and help promote recovery.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no religion association, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not, because Reiki comes from the Universe.
